Will Muslims Take Over The U.S?

George Soros is funding a group to create a one-world economic system. Dictators still roam the earth. Oil prices are becoming prohibitive again.  Our troops are fighting on two or three fronts. People are out of work. Abortions continue. Banks are failing. The Mets keep loosing.  How will it end? You’d think with all the citizens’ groups cropping up something would change. Unfortunately, little if anything does. All the evils here before all these self-proclaimed champions-of-whatever groups started are still around.

I wrote this back in April, but I felt compelled to update it here.

If you don’t like something you can find a group of like-minded pals who share your dislike. You could join the Citizens Against Government Waste, or the Citizens Against Litter, or the Citizens against Human Trafficking, lawsuit abuse, the death penalty, red light cameras (really), ugly street spam, safety goggles, tolls, loud motorcycles and more.

On the other hand, if you like something you can probably find a citizens’ group that likes your something too. You could join the Citizens For Responsibility And Ethics In Washington (that’s an uphill battle for sure), or the Citizens For Tax Justice, or Truth, or Batman (yes, really), or the arts or retiring the penny. But here’s my favorite: Citizens for Citizens.  All these folks who are either for or against something have websites, mailing lists, colorful brochures, news articles either by them or about them, and astute sounding, carefully worded credos.

Most citizens’ groups claim to be non-profit.  In other words, they don’t sell goods or services to make  money. But they need money, lots of it, to rent their meeting rooms and print their brochures, hold rallies, write books and grow their members.  They need contributions, e.g.  membership dues, donations and proceeds from bake sales and car washes to impact policy makers for the good of society. And where do they get their money? They sell their message of hope, or annihilation, depending on whether you’re for or against something, to their members.  They try to get members to recruit other members and then send all their fees and dues and contributions to the home office.

Don’t misread me. By no means am I against all citizens’ groups. Some groups have been able to impact our society for positive, effective change. Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) is making an impact. Amber’s Law, Meagan’s Law and Adam’s Law were all born of  family tragedies. And all of them impact society in a positive way. All resulted from citizens’ groups passionate about protecting children.

A friend of mine is now excited about some  group that believes radical Muslims may rule the United States.

Here is their credo: The mission: ACT! For America is a non-profit issues advocacy organization dedicated to effectively organizing and mobilizing the most powerful grassroots citizen action network in America, committed to informed and coordinated civic action that will lead to public policies that promote America’s national security and the defense of American democratic values against the assault of radical Islam.

They must have conned a politician into writing that credo for them.

Whew! Can anyone out there explain that too me?  I have two college degrees and I don’t have a clue what they’re doing.

The group’s founder, Brigitte Gabriel, claims to be a victim of radical Muslim brutality or torture or emotional distress, or post traumatic syndrome or something. She gives carefully crafted speeches and lectures about her experience at meetings in homes or hotel conference facilities where invited guests get to watch her video. She may have a moving testimony about her experience with radical Muslims.  It might be credible indeed. It might evoke sympathy and concern. And I’m sure she’s passionate about her cause.

My friend has started what he calls a new leadership position in her group. He’s  started a local chapter in his home. This threat of radical Muslim takeover has him all worked up. He’s sending out information emails to encourage people to join his group. One thing all these citizens’ groups have is information. Gobs of it. They claim it’s all credible and they can quote you statistics they’ve memorized about their cause to get you as excited as they are.

In my view neither my friend’s group nor any other citizens’ action groups (except those I mentioned above plus a few others), will cause any ripples in the pond. My friend’s group and most other citizens groups are relying on their own skills and talents and abilities and efforts to be the agent of change for the minds and hearts of the politicians in Washington and the people to expose the dangers to our way of life.

God is the only one capable of preventing Muslims from overtaking the United States. God is in charge. He is in control. And if we try to wrestle control from Him by forming or joining a citizens’ group propagated by self-effort and self-interest we will fail.

I seem to remember it was God who allowed the Assyrians to defeat His children and carry them off into captivity. And let’s see, wasn’t it His own people God allowed to become slaves in Egypt? If I read my Bible correctly that captivity and slavery were a part of His plan to bring His children to repentance and into the Promise Land to worship and honor Him. I don’t remember the Jews forming any action groups to improve their society. They grumbled a lot. They told Moses all kinds of hateful things.  But in the end God prevailed and His plan moved forward.

God may choose to allow Muslims to take control of the United States. If he does, so what? If He does it will be part of His plan for His children. He allowed His own people to suffer years of loss, hardship and captivity. It was their disobedience and lack of faith in God to rule in His sovereignty that got them in trouble.

If God’s people who are called by His name will humble themselves and pray and seek God’s face and turn from their wicked ways, then God will hear from heaven and forgive their sins AND HEAL THEIR LAND. 2 Chronicles 7:14. Imagine how much God’s people could do if they transformed all the members of their citizens’ groups into prayer groups that sought the will of God in every social, political and moral travesty. And I don’t mean utter a few gratuitous verses of Scripture at the beginning of the meetings or asking God to bless their time together. I mean falling down, prostrate, and praying, just praying, for God to move the earth so He accomplishes His will and His plan succeeds.

It is only when we come to the end of ourselves and trust God and His Sovereignty to rule and to reign that God can impact social or political change.

  1. David, my friend,
I appreciate this response as well.
You keep providing proof and supporting the points I make in my blog.
I’m not going to spend a lot of time arguing with you. Apparently we are destined to agree to disagree about your organization. Much like Auburn and Alabama fans disagree with each other each year.
You’re right. I have not spent much time trying to figure out what ACT America is about, nor am I going to spend any time trying to disprove any of your statements or information. I will stipulate that everything in all your literature and all the literature on your website is true.

I did see, however, that the most prominent thing about their website was the word DONATE. All caps. In my view that proves one point I was making.

Do you call, “several Congressional hearings into Islamic Radicalization in America” as real progress? I guess we have different definitions of progress.

You said you thought I disparaged ACT outright. I would not characterize my blog as being aimed directly at ACT. I admit that I lumped them in with hundreds of other citizens’ groups in our country who have what they all believe are deeply-felt issues, for which they are committed to impact.

How did you infer that I thought your gobs of literature was false information? All I said, in my view, was that all of your citizens’ groups are armed with gobs of information and(I’m paraphrasing here) spread enough of it to circle the globe 27 times (all the groups, David, I’m not singling out ACT).

You said, “God expects us to stand up against injustice and tyranny where ever we find it. The idea that we have to sit back and do nothing because it might be God’s will is false!” David, I can’t find instances in the Bible where God tells us to stand against tyranny or injustice. God did tell Jehosaphat in 2 Chronicles 20: 14Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite and descendant of Asaph, as he stood in the assembly.
15He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army (Could we apply that today as a vast army of Radical Islamists?). For the battle is not yours, but God’s. (I submit to you that the battle against Radical Islamists is not ACT America’s but God’s). 16Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel. 17You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.’”

18Jehoshaphat bowed with his face to the ground, and all the people of Judah and Jerusalem fell down in worship before theLORD. 19Then some Levites from the Kohathites and Korahites stood up and praised the LORD, the God of Israel, with a very loud voice.

David, I think you know the rest of this story and are aware of all the plunder the Jews carried away with them from that battle. And all God instructed His people to do was stand and watch the victory the Lord would bring.
Paul says the same thing of Ephesians about the armor of God. We put on the armor to fight. He says, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood (radical Islamists, maybe?) but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world (Satan and his demons) and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12.) Paul is not warning us or telling us to stand against radical Islamists, or Black Panthers, or evil dictators. He says our battles are against spiritual forces of evil. And the pieces of armor are to allow us to stand against these evil forces (spiritual evil forces), not flesh and blood radicals.

By the way, all your “What if’s” in your email are moot because all the what if’s you propose did not happen, therefore useless in this discussion.

You also said, in quoting me, “God may choose to allow Muslims to take control of the United States. If he does, so what?” shows a callous disregard for this country in general, and Christians in particular. It also shows an ignorance of God’s purpose in this world and a stupidity which is simply unreal. These people are intent on killing you!!!!”

I disagree with your characterization of my patriotism and my concern for our country. I am just as passionate as you or anyone else about many issues facing our culture and society today. I am a proud Vietnam Veteran who loves this country as much as you or any other American patriot. I pray about the issues for which I am passionate about. I choose not to join any citizens’ groups. God hears my prayers and God knows my heart. And as I told you in my other email, God is in control and nothing is going to happen to thwart His Plan, whatever that might be.

The fact that you say I have a callous disregard, and refer to me as ignorant and stupid also proves one of my beliefs about citizens’ groups I did not express in my blog. Their members are often extremists, intolerant of opposing views (as you sound to me, David), and angry (you sound angry as well). Many members of citizens’ groups tend to evaluate everything as either right or wrong, black or white. That kind of thinking leaves little room for discourse and reduces conflicts or disagreements to simply blaming.

You also said, (and this is my last) “If you don’t care whether or not these people want to destroy our country, that’s your problem. First of all, my blog asked readers whether they thought Muslims would “Take Over the U.S.”, not destroy it. I do not believe, and if you were honest with yourself I don’t think you believe, a bunch of radical Muslims toting machine guns and grenades and tanks is going to show up one day and capture America.

Will some of the splinter groups inflict damage and rape and rob and kill people? Probably. Just like other radical groups with agendas to propagate their sick thinking. like the Black Panthers and the Ku Klux Klan and the SNCC and the Weathermen. Those goons or modern goons like them have always been around. They’ll continue to fight and rape and kill people and push their agenda on others. Are you going to eradicate them? I doubt it. Are you going to stop them or control them with citizens’ groups? I doubt that as well.

David, I truly believe you have been persuaded to become involved in a matter over which you or your group have no control. That’s why I said God is in control. Of all the things you wrote back about you did not ridicule or try to dispel my idea about transforming your group into a prayer group. I wonder what would happen if you and all your Radical Muslim hating friends tried prayer, nothing but prayer, committed your cause to prayer and allowed God to work on all your concerns? Now there’s a “What if” that could actually happen? God promises us that it will. And Jesus says in John 14, “apart from me you can do nothing.”

  2. Some groups do often make good fodder for humorous blogs. But I think you must have left your sense of humor at one of the college you attended on this one!

I’m not so sure that Amina and Sarah Said, two pretty Texas teens who were brutally murdered on New Year’s Day 2008 by their father for dating non-Muslim boys would have thought it humorous! Nor would Noor Almaleki whose father Faleh Almaleki ran over her, not once but twice, in Arizona in October 2009 because she wanted to dress like an American girl.

I doubt that either Aasiya Z. Hassan, 37, who was beheaded by her husband in Buffalo NY in 2009 because she got involved in his business or Sandeela Kanwal who was strangled to death by her father, Chaudhry Rashid in Clayton Ga. in 2008 because she refused to participate in an arranged marriage would have thought it humorous.

BTW, if you do see the masked Muslims running up your driveway, make sure you have the coroner programmed into your phone. You wont have time to call anyone else, and it wont matter anyway!

  3. Well Steve, you do have a right to your own opinion. You also have a right to be wrong, which I do respect by the way!

I don’t mind if you don’t stand with ACT! for America. That is your right, but to disparage the organization outright without even looking to see what it’s about? That’s really not becoming of you! BTW, the organization is making much headway. There have been several Congressional hearings into Islamic Radicalization in America and there are more to come. There are some who care!

And, oh yea! You say “He’s sending out information emails to encourage people to join his group. One thing all these citizens’ groups have is information. Gobs of it. They claim it’s all credible and they can quote you statistics they’ve memorized about their cause to get you as excited as they are.” as though I’m sending false information. I challenge you to disprove any information I have sent to you. You will not find one false fact on my site http://www.wewanttotakeamericaback.com and you will not find any appeal for money. Oh, and if you cannot understand what ACT! for America is about – with your two college degrees – I submit that you must have left something at college! You might want to go back!

But all of this is beside the point.

There are a couple of fallacies in your argument. You are right that not everyone can stand with all civil action groups. One would spread himself way to thin that way. But to suggest that only those you support have any validity defeats your argument. You state that “All the evils here before all these self-proclaimed champions-of-whatever groups started are still around” You try to make the point that only those you agree with are working. But guess what? Seems there are still drunk drivers out there. There are still children being abducted and raped and there are still sex offenders running loose!

Your main point is that if its Gods will we can’t stop it anyway, so there is no need to get involved or to even try! I reject that argument. What if I said, “It must have been Gods will for that man to drive drunk and kill that little child.” Or, “There will always be evil among us to so we can do nothing to protect our children against these evil men and there is no use to try.” “No need to support MADD, or Amber’s Law, Meagan’s Law and Adam’s Law.” It’s the same argument.

Which brings me to your other fallacy! I reject the supposition that God is not concerned with His people’s welfare! No one is trying to “…wrestle control from Him…” God expects us to stand up against injustice and tyranny where ever we find it. The idea that we have to sit back and do nothing because it might be God’s will is false! I hesitate to think where this world would be today if no one stood up for what is right. John the Baptist stood up against the leaders of his day – it got his head cut off. Jesus Christ called the leaders snakes, vipers and whited tombs. Jesus told us we are to be salt and light, not stick our heads under a bushel! Oh yea, it got Him crucified!

What if Moses and said, “It’s not my problem!” Or Joshua said, “You want me to do what?” What if the Hebrew midwives followed the edict of the Pharoah and killed all male children. Or Esther, the young Jewish woman who became queen in Persia, faced the choice of whether to become involved when her people faced genocide. When she trusted God, He used her to save her entire people from perishing. Hezikiah was told to prepare to die, 2 Kings 20:1 but God delivered him.

What if William Wilberforce had quit politics when he became a Christian? How many more slaves would have died?

What if our Founding Fathers rejected the idea that God had something good in store for this land and had thrown up their hands and quit! You might be a British Subject?

What would have happened if those pietist in Germany had broken from their theological traditions which led them wholly towards a “spiritual” ministry and a willingness to obey governments orders under all circumstances. How many of the “undesirables” would have been kept out of the gas chambers? What if the rest of the world had not gotten together and stopped Germany. “It’s Gods will, It’s his punishment on us!” You would be speaking German about now!

God has not given Christians a template for a Christian political system, but the Old Testament established a pattern. The Christian is not exempt from God’s command to “fill the earth and subdue it.” Political questions are not beyond the scope of God’s rule. We understand that governments are “ministers of God” (Romans 13:3-4). They serve at God’s pleasure! “…He (God) removeth kings, and setteth up kings…” (Daniel 2:21). “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another” (Psalm 75:6-7). But we must ask just as Esther, “…Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14). Pietism not only leads to cultural irrelevance, it is also a rejection of God’s establishment of civil government in Genesis 9.

You are right, “it was God who allowed the Assyrians to defeat His children and carry them off into captivity.” But he gave them plenty of opportunity to repent. But God was not just interested in repentance, He told them over and over to get rid of the high places and clean up their act. They didn’t. That which you call God’s plan was not God’s plan at all! He allowed it to happen because of the sin of the people. He gave Sodom and opportunity to repent! He gave Nineva an opportunity to repent. One did! The question is, “Will we?”

Your statement – “God may choose to allow Muslims to take control of the United States. If he does, so what?” shows a callous disregard for this country in general, and Christians in particular. It also shows an ignorance of God’s purpose in this world and a stupidity which is simply unreal. These people are intent on killing you!!!!

Which brings up another point, why support MADD, or Amber’s Law, Meagan’s Law, or Adam’s Law or any of the others. The people we are trying to inform you about wallow in that kind of conduct. They are barbarian torturers, who kill, plunder and rape their way through all who do not agree with them. This is not your typical easy going religious sect. And if you don’t care, why support any one who is against that type of behavior. And if no one cares and there’s nothing we can do, why quote 2 Chronicles 7:14. There’s nothing we can do about it anyway!

If you don’t care whether or not these people these people want to destroy our country, that’s your problem. I for one do not intend to stand around and wait on a bunch of godless monsters to kill me and my family. And I guess we will have to be ready to protect yours also, since you don’t care!

    1. David, thank you for your thoughtful comments. I appreciate your response. Really.
You proved all the points I was making in my post skillfully.
In fact, I’m considering including your response in its own post. I believe your response deserves the same exposure as my original post. BTW, I appreciate your offer to protect me and my family. If I see masked and armed Muslims pull up in my driveway, you’ll be the first one I call.

  4. Thank you for your kind words and Father’s Day wishes. I love to write funny stuff. I have a very well developed sense of humor I developed in our dysfunctional home as a coping mechanism to ease the pain and shame and bewilderment I felt. I don’t mean to get maudlin on you, sorry.
    Thank you again.

  5. You’re so funny, “The mets keeps loosing.” This was a great post! All our self-effort won’t change anything. It’s our dependence on God that will bring change. Thanks for the post.

Have a blessed Father’s Day! Your kids are blessed to have such a loving father:)
