Gay “Queen James” Version Bible. Really.

Are we surprised when we discover a published gay Bible? Editors justify modifying the “King” James version because the king was, according to them, gay. There is, however, no credible evidence in existence to confirm his sexual experience.

king jamesEditors claim the KJV has translation problems. Writing about interpretive ambiguity for the word “abomination” [Leviticus 22:18 – Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” KJV] they say, “Since abominable offenses aren’t all punishable by death like this one, leads us to believe there was translative error at some point.” To me, that contradicts Revelation 22:18-19:

“I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.”

Adding And Subtracting

Their goal with this bible, in my opinion, is to justify their lifestyle, to make homosexuality sound like normal Biblical acceptable behavior. Since their movement came out of the closet decades ago, they have mounted Herculean efforts to become accepted in society. In some areas they have succeeded: business, human rights, politics, the arts, the entertainment industry and more. Now they have manipulated God’s Word to make homosexuality sound acceptable. In a promotion for the bible one editor wrote, “You can’t choose your sexuality, but you can choose Jesus. Now you can choose a Bible, too.”

You can’t abide in Jesus if you choose to practice (which suggests continuing to live in) sin. God’s REAL word says you can not live a sinful lifestyle and live in the righteousness of God. Now the gay bible attempts to remove the stigma of God’s truth and His ultimate judgment from sin God Himself calls abominable.

God loves every creature He creates. He loves gays. He loves Muslims. He loves me. But He hates sin. Gays don’t believe homosexuality is sinful. I guess we’ll all find out the truth soon.

  1. Steve, a very well written post. Very informative and insightful. I believe the most heart-breaking thing about this gay-Bible is that it gives those in the homosexual community, who are in Churches and sincerely seeking truth, false hope and a false sense of security, by being fed a lie that homosexual behavior is acceptable by God. They may not want to hear this truth, but what is the alternative? Be fed the truth and have to adjust their life accordingly (which all manner of sin requires us to do) or be fed a lie, and suffer the unmentionable consequences… God just loves all of us so much, He simply wants us to know the truth so we can join Him in Heaven where we will live in God’s radiant Love, joy, peace and happiness where there will be no tears, no sorrow, no pain, and no death for all eternity. The alternative is a loss of all this. Is “knowing” a member of the same-sex truly worth all this loss? For me, it wasn’t… God Bless you!

    1. Sylvia,
Thank you so much for your insightful comments. You are exactly right. I think this version of the bible will cause the greatest dissension in churches that welcome homosexuals into their flocks without addressing their lifestyle as sin. I can’t imagine sitting next to someone in the pew who tries to follow the Truth of the Gospel message being preached out of the Queen James Bible. I can see nothing but conflict with those who are following along out of an authorized translation.

  2. That’s crazy!! The devil is so deceptive. His time is short. He’s trying to drag as many down with him as he can. It’s just another motivator to continue preaching the Truth with boldness! Thanks for sharing!
