I’ll be posting again beginning this Monday, March 18!
My recovery from my most recent heart surgery is complete. I have a brand new stint and a free-flowing artery again. Hallelujah! Now I’m back in the (blogosphere) saddle again!
I certainly have missed all of you, and missed sharing what God gives me to write. While I’ve been recovering God has given me some fantastic messages. I can’t wait to share them with all my readers.
Here’s a sample of some of the stuff you’ll find to read on For His Glory in the next few weeks:
God’s Canning Process
My grandma was a whiz at canning fruits and vegetables. Her canning process was a day-long ordeal, but we enjoyed the “fruits” and veggies of her labor for months. God has His own canning process with us. Read how God’s canning process works.
The Gay Marriage Issue
Gay marriage is no longer a moral issue. It has become a political firestorm. Subject to the whims and persuasion of arguments in courts of law. Consideration of God’s law is no longer relevant. Man’s laws now threaten to negate and transform God’s first and most fundamental institution. It’s fate left in the hands of politicians and lawyers. What a scary thought!
Why The Church Exists
Ray Stedman, a brilliant biblical teacher and pastor, wrote a wonderful devotional that teaches us why the church exists. His thought-provoking devotional will inspire you to think about your own church and its effectiveness in the body of Christ.
The “Christian” Label
In our modern culture the word “Christian” has become more of a label than a life. We label things and people Christian and don’t even know what the word means.
The Great Exchange
The moment you believed on Christ as your personal savior something wonderful happened within you. You became a new person with new motivation, new interests and new principles. The Apostle Paul tells us what happened. “Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (II Corinthians 5:17).
Something else happened to you. Jesus exchanged His life for ours. Your life is His life now. You were automatically and instantaneously placed into the family of God. You didn’t necessarily feel different. You didn’t hear the angels sing, or hear voices, but in that moment you did become a member of God’s family.
Secrets of the Easter Bunny
Physicist turned apologist Lambert Dolphin wrote an article that compares the celebration of major Jewish feasts with the events of Jesus’ last week on earth. The resemblance between them is striking. As you read, you can only marvel at God’s timing as His awesome plan for mankind unfolds before your eyes.
I enjoy sharing with you some of the awesome writings, thoughts and teachings from some of the best lay persons and Bible teachers in the blogosphere. I hand-pick the writers and the messages I share on For His Glory. I guarantee the writers you see here will be good writers with good messages that correspond to my own biblical world view.
I look forward to meeting you here on For His Glory soon.
