Jesus was the most loving, kind, considerate, compassionate person who ever lived.
At the same time He was narrow-minded. Jesus was narrow-minded about finding the way to heaven. Jesus spoke of two gates, two kingdoms, two masters, two rewards and two eternities. And we choose between them.
He told his followers, to “enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. The gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few find it. Matthew 7:13-14.
“I am The way, The truth and The life,” He told them. “No one comes to the Father except through me.” Jesus is the ONLY way. You can’t get much more narrow-minded than that. Jesus could not afford to be broad-minded about salvation for those of us born in sin that He came to redeem.
No one can serve two masters,” He taught us. “Either you will love the one and hate the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other.” Matthew 6:24.
It’s possible many “good” people, who convince themselves there is more than one way to get to heaven, will spend eternity totally separated from God.
