Jesus Was Intolerant Of Sin

Jesus never sinned. He couldn’t. He was God incarnate. To suggest that He was anything less than perfect is blasphemous.

Jesus was adamantly intolerant of sin. The Pharisees brought a prostitute, caught in the act of her sin, and threw her at Jesus’ feet. Jewish law condemned her and sentenced her to death.

But Jesus loved her and forgave her. But he hated her sin. Our sin, all our sin, any sin, separates us from God and His fellowship. God has always loathed sin. In Isaiah, God says,

Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil …” Isaiah 1:16.

The Bible abounds with scripture references to God’s hatred of sin. When God looks upon us He sees us as holy and consecrated to Him for His pleasure and His good purpose. He sees us through the filter of Jesus’ blood. His blood on the cross freed us forever from the power of sin over our lives forever.
