God’s “I Wills”

God’s promises are all over the pages of the Bible. I love to read passages that reveal what God has done or is doing in me and all believers. One of my favorite passages with a bunch of “I wills” is Ezekiel 36:25-27. In these three short verses, we find six “I wills” (eight if you count the implied “I wills”) God promises.

His “I wills” are not conditional. God doesn’t say, “I’ll do this if you do that.” No. God does it all Himself. He doesn’t need our help. Here is what He promises all believers He will do:

  • I will sprinkle clean water on you and you will be clean.
  • I will cleanse you from all your impurities and all your idols.
  • I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you.
  • I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
  • I will put my Spirit in you and I will move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws
