Editor’s Note: We don’t hear many pastors preach  on the blood of Christ these days. That is unfortunate. The body of Christ ought to know what Jesus’ blood and its power did and is doing for us.
On the Day of Atonement the High Priest pushed through the veil to enter the Holy of Holies. He sprinkled blood from a sacrificed lamb on the Mercy Seat The seat was a slab of pure gold that covered the Ark of the Covenant. Inside the Ark were the two
stone tablets with the Ten Commandments.
On the Day of Atonement the High Priest met with God in the Tabernacle at the Mercy Seat. God could not see His law, etched in the stone tablets.inside the Ark of the Covenant. What He saw was His mercy seat, covered by sacrificial blood. The blood assured the Israelites that God symbolically forgave their sins another year.
They practiced this ritual until Christ shed all his blood on the cross, covering the sins of God’s people and our sins as well forever.
There is POWER in the blood of Jesus.
