God desires that we live out of our true identity in Christ. To me, that means I choose to allow Chris to live in me, through me and as me. When I choose to surrender to and trust Jesus, I find rest and peace in all circumstances. When I choose to live in my strength and resources, rather than Christ’s, life becomes difficult and eventually unmanageable.
Are you living out of your TRUE identity in Christ? Here’s an example I use to help me decide if I’m living out of my true identity in Christ:
My mission statement for FHG is: to help us all know, understand, believe and live out of our true identity in Christ. I use these key words to help me:
Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:4-5 (NIV)
