Would you trust this guy?
A Princeton University research group asked 100 students to look at pictures of actors for one millisecond. They rated their faces on attractiveness, competence, likeability, aggressiveness, and trustworthiness.
A study control group looked at the same pictures but took as long as they wanted to rate the faces. According to the study, the strongest correlation between the two groups was trustworthiness. In other words, the moment we meet someone we decide if they have a face we can trust or not.
Aren’t we grateful we don’t have trust issues with God? He has made boatloads of promises from way back in Genesis all the way through Revelation. We see promises He made in the Old Testament fulfilled by Jesus in the New Testament. The promises He makes in the New Testament we know, by faith in Christ, He will keep. All of them. Aren’t we grateful He is who He says He is and will do what He promises He will do?
Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6
