My Scar

I have an inch-long scar on my right forearm. I was 15 stocking shelves in the grocery store where I worked. I opened a box of potted meat products. The box cutter slipped and sliced a 1/4-inch-deep gash in my arm.

The scar is still there. Barely visible. Funny thing about our scars. They follow us everywhere we go. Constant reminders of hurts once suffered. But, for many of us, the hurts have been healed.

Jesus has scars too. In the palms of His hands and on his feet and side. His scars are always with Him. They remind Him of me, and what Jesus sacrificed so He could calljesus scars me His brother, and I could call Him my Savior.

Jesus has a scar shaped just like you as well. Whether your scars are physical, emotional or spiritual, they are always with Him. To remind Him that He’s healed you.

the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:8b
