Nobody Has Shoes Here

shoesA large Eastern show manufacturer bought an island off the coast of Africa. They sent their two top salesmen, Bob and Joe, to the island to open a store and develop shoe business on the island. The day after he arrived Bob texted his boss at the home office. “Leaving tomorrow on the first flight out. This was a mistake. Nobody has shoes here.”

The same day Joe texted his boss at the home office: “Send a whole shipment of shoes to me as soon as you can,” he said.. “Nobody has shoes here.”

Sometimes attitude is everything.

Editor's Note: Saddle shoes are the trademark of my lifetime friend Chuck Offenburger who's been wearing them since grammar school. Chuck runs Offenburger.com, one of Iowa's oldest Internet news and opinion sites.

About Steven Sawyer

God blessed me with the gift of writing. Mom told me I wrote paragraphs in second grade when others were learning to write sentences. I spent more than three decades in professional writing gigs. For the past eight years I've combined my passion for writing with my love for the Lord. He and I write a Christ-centered, family-friendly blog to glorify God Monday-thru Friday at https://stevensawyer.wordpress.com/. My wife and I have four grown children and two precious granddaughters we co-parent with their mom. I'm a Galatians 2:20 disciple of Christ seeking to allow Christ to live His life in me, through me, and as me.
