When God Made Blue

EDITOR’S NOTE: You won’t find any spiritual awakening or startling revelations in today’s post. But maybe, if you’re like me, you might appreciate one of God’s most beautiful creations–the color blue.

I’m so grateful God made blue.blue sky 2
The beautiful blue sky and the deep blue sea. I love to look up into God’s blue sky and marvel at His creative genius. We had a crystal clear sky overhead today and temperatures in the cool, lower 70’s. A picture perfect day for me.

I don’t know all the science behind why blue is blue. It has something to do with wave lengths and gasses scattering light in the atmosphere. God made it for us, so the “how” or the “why” really doesn’t matter to me.

Blue has a calming effect on me. It’s called a “cool” color in art circles.

Over the past decade, scientists have reported the successful use of blue light in the treatment of a wide variety of psychological problems, including addictions, eating disorders, impotence, and depression.

Blue is the only color which maintains its own character in all its tones. It will always stay blue. Blue is one of only three colors you can’t make by mixing other colors.

PRAYER: Thank you, Father, for making such a calm, cool color like blue for us. Looking up into your clear blue sky is so calming to me. Blue brings me such serenity and peace. I hope there will be plenty of blue with you in eternity. You must like bloe a lot too since you made so much of it for us.
