I don’t know about you, but I could stand to chew on some positive, encouraging words today. As the whole world swirls farther and faster down the toilet, I won’t settle for despair. I want to read some words that speak hope and joy to me today.
Try these words on today.”
Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.” Dale Carnegie
“At the end of my life, when I stand before God, I hope I don’t have a speck of talent left. Then I can tell God I used every bit of mine.” Erma Bombeck.
Keep deception and lies far from me
Give me neither poverty nor riches;
Feed me with the food that is my portion;
That I not be full and deny you and say, “Who is the Lord?”
Or that I not be in want and steal,
And profane the name of my God
Proverbs 30:8-9
“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” Arthur Ashe
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to transform a life.” Leo Buscaglia
“The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hang on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.” Harriet Beecher Stowe,
And, to me, the most positive, uplifting, encouraging words in the world:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Jesus
Hello my friend… It’s been awhile indeed, but so nice to hear from you. I’m responding to your comment on my blog here instead, because there were quite a few details that I rather not publish. Things have still been tough though ~ We literally went homeless twice in the last month alone. Funny, considering my daughter even has two jobs, but I still need to raise more financial support on a monthly basis because it’s just so expensive out here. The weather is what’s best for my body though. Trying to move to the north side of L.A. before the end of the month now, so I can see some specialist at the neurology institute. It’s that time. How about you ~ How have things been for you?

I want to make Erma Bombeck’s my life’s mantra. Thank you, I needed to hear these words this week. It’s been a good week, but still…needed to see this. Part of me wonders if this world is right up at the edge of the Rapture and Revelations, whichever order God plans for that. But it does seem that we’re spiraling down something that was foretold. I can’t bear to read the media or watch the news anymore. My husband wonders how in the world I don’t know about things most times (current events). I just can’t expose myself to the ugliness on purpose you know? Maybe some people think I stick my head in the sand but honestly I feel like the news is just as bad as (and as sinful) X-rated films! I really do feel that way. So thank you for the sunshine today, I’m definitely warmer ☺️

Thanks for your comments. I’m with you, Amanda. I still watch that smelly poo poo they call news; but I only watch to make sure they don’t report the rapture occurred while I was at Walmart. ;>)
Glad you feel warmer tonight. I needed to have some encouraging words today as well.

Between the wicked, sordid things people are dong to each other, and the American dog & pony political arena, we need all the positive thoughts and encouraging words we can get!
