Fake news has emerged as a hot trending topic these days. Discussions about the veracity of “news” and its sources dot the blogosphere, social, political and mainstream media landscapes.
In my view (my opinion, not fact), mainstream broadcast, print and online media have all slithered into a quagmire of unreliability and an egregious lack of accountability. Now fake news is raising its ugly head; and the press and left-leaning political establishment can’t figure out a way to bite it off.
The mainstream media and fake news outlets make it difficult, if not impossible sometimes, to decide what’s true, what’s fake and what’s slanted towards an irrevocably entrenched liberal bias.
The only truth we can all rely on ever is the Way, the Truth and the Life, Jesus Christ. And we find His Truth in God’s word, and nowhere else.
There is also the entrenched conservative bias. I can’t see one as being any better than the other. I want Walter Cronkite back.
