If you’ll look in your dictionary for “directionally challenged” you’ll see my picture next to the definition. I have to take my granddaughter to Walmart with me to find our car when we leave. I’ve been lost in our own subdivision before. If it weren’t for my GPS, I’d probably spend most of my time driving around lost and frustrated. Lost is not fun.
I have another GPS, though, that keeps me pointed in the right direction. All I have to do is choose to activate it.
I’m speaking about my GPS–my God Positioning System–God’s Holy Spirit.
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Isaiah 30:21
He’s always there to lead me in exactly the right turn, the right direction, the right word to say, the right thing to do.
And like my car GPS, my God Positioning System will recalculate my journey and continually remind me of His direction should I make a wrong turn, or a wrong choice. Trust me, He spends a lot of time recalculating for me in my life.
For an encouraging blessing today, click on over to Secret Angel’s blog and read what she’s written about recalculating our GPS to our future.
I heard a great message by Evangelist Junior Hill that closed with an illustration about a GPS. If you ever get a chance to hear it, it is called “A Promise Worth Understanding” from Romans 8:28.
