Tamara LeeThe world tries to recreate the fruit of the Spirit without having the Spirit, which is impossible. They have managed to create a hybrid that resembles our genuine fruits but lacks their inner authenticity. The worlds fruits give the outward appearance of the Spirits fruits, but lack the inner qualities that produce genuine eternal blessings in their lives. The Spirits fruit is life but the worlds fruit is like poison, leading to death.

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”- John 3:6 KJV

Humans seek the fruit of the Spirit in their lives yet so very few understand that the only source of these gifts is God. And the only way to God is through Jesus Christ – not self awareness or enlightenment through our individual resources. Only being born of the Spirit allows these fruits to grow from within us, because these fruits are from God, not man.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.” – Galatians 5:22-26 KJV

For example, a person walking in the flesh will operate in lust which is a counterfeit of love. Lust is fleeting, love is eternal. Lust is carnal and leads to disease and ill reward, love is spiritual and leads to health and glorious rewards. People who walk in the flesh seek joy in “things”. This counterfeit joy is temporary and never truly fulfilled, it often turns to greed, envy and strife. Those who walk in the Spirits seek their joy in the Lord, this joy is eternal and absolutely fulfilling. The joy of the Lord leads to thanksgiving and gladness manifesting the peace that passes all understanding.

Humanism tells people they can achieve the fruit of the Spirit without being grafted into the true vine, Jesus Christ. This is impossible, apart from the Spirit you walk in the flesh and can only reap the fruits of such behavior.

When we are born of the Spirit all good things become possible for us. The fruit of the Spirit grows naturally and abundantly in our lives, because we are rooted in the Lord. When you are rooted in the Lord, it becomes inevitable that you will bear only good fruit! I thank God for the abundance he has so lovingly poured out into my life!
