1. T_X__F___ Everyone has at least one spiritual gift.
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another; as good stewards of God’s varied grace. (1 Peter 4:10) The question may be a little misleading. Not every one, but every believer, has at least one spiritual gift.
2. T___F_X_ We get our spiritual gifts at birth
All these are the work of one and the same Holy Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines. (1 Corinthians 12:7) We receive the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation. So, we receive our spiritual gifts at salvation, when we are “born again”.
3. T_X_F___ Spiritual gifts and fruit of the Spirit are not the same.
You can find the gifts of the Spirit in Galatians 5 and Spiritual Gifts in 1 Corinthians 12.
4. T_X_F___ The Holy Spirit guides us into all Truth.
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13)
5. T_X_F___ All sins–past, present and future–will be forgiven.
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. (Ephesians 1:7)
6. T_X_F___ We can never lose our salvation.
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” (John 10:28-30). [Me:] If we could lose our salvation, Jesus would not call it “Eternal” life. Other scriptures bear this truth out.
7. T_X__F___We can not reject our salvation.
For he (God)chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will [not our will. His].” (John 10:28-29)
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be. (from Psalm 139)
8. T_X__F__ We will never die.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
9. T_X__F__ Our sinful nature died on the cross with Jesus.
Our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; (Romans 6:6)
10. T_X__F__ We are not sinners saved by grace.
Throughout Paul’s writings he refers to believers as “saints” not sinners. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10)
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:21) We can not be both sinner and the righteousness of God.
11. T_X__F__ We don’t live anymore; but Christ lives in us.
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)
12. T_X__F___Our purpose in life is to glorify God.
“Everyone who is called by My name, And whom I have created for My glory, Whom I have formed, even whom I have made,” (Isaiah 43:7).
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)
For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen. (Romans 11:36)
To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen. (Jude 24-25)
13. T_X__F__We are accepted by God just the way we are.
God has made us accepted in the Beloved. (Ephesians 1:6)
Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. (Romans 15:7)
14. T_X__F__God loves us unconditionally.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.( 1 John 4:16)
Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (Romans 8:35)
15. T_X__F___We are a temple of God.
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
(1 Corinthians 10:16)
