Now as to the love of the brethren, you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another. 1 Thessalonians 4:9
We learn life lessons from teachers, parents, pastors, counselors, close friends, Bible studies, our mistakes and more. At times we forget what we learn, or realize life changes and we don’t need the lessons any more.
God teaches us lessons as well. The difference between life lessons and lessons God teaches us, however, is that lessons God teaches us never leave us. God etches His lessons on our hearts and minds.
Some of us at times become tough nuts to crack. To learn what God wants to teach us, our hearts have to be right. We must cultivate a humble, teachable spirit.
Lessons God teaches are always. . .
2. Taught from God’s loving heart
3. Specific to the one being taught.
“If you reject discipline, you only harm yourself; but if you listen to correction, you grow in understanding” Proverbs 15;32 (NLT).
