“You’ll never be a writer?” “They won’t hire you.” “”That house is too expensive.” “You’re a woman.” “They can’t do that.” “It can’t last.” “No! That’s impossible.” “We just don’t have the right people.”
“So the LORD must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion.
“But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 (ESV)e.
For the LORD is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help.” Isaiah 30:18 (NLT)
We don’t like to hear NO! It means we’re not going to get our way. It can mean we feel rejection. It can hurt. It can mean we made a mistake or a bad decision. “No” is usually negative in our lives. And sometimes during our waiting process God must say, “No.” We may not be ready to receive his blessing. It may be because God has to prune us more. For whatever reason God chooses to say no for our own good.
I don’t know about you but waiting on God is one of the hardest, if not THE hardest things I must do to remain faithful and trusting in God. I’ve learned over the years though that there is real reward and blessing for waiting until God intervenes in my life.
I mess everything up though when I get tired of waiting and try to solve problems and seek blessings with my own resources.
