I’ve often heard some folks say, “God doesn’t wear a watch.” I’m sure they’re referring to the idea that God is outside the parameters of time.
But they’re wrong God DOES wear a watch. In fact I’ve included an authentic image of God’s watch for us in today’s post.
With God his time is always “Now”! That’s because with God everything is present tense. God exists only in the now.
“God said to Moses, ‘I AM who I AM.’ And he said, ‘Say this to the people of Israel, I AM has sent me to you’” (Ex. 3:14).
Yesterday is gone, Tomorrow isn’t here yet. God’s mercies and his blessings are new every morning. You’ll receive all that God has for us Now.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;[a]
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23.
You can’t carry over God’s grace you didn’t receive yesterday into today. There’s no leftover grace or mercies. It just doesn’t work that way. Receive it now. Expect it now. On God’s time.
