God, Heaven

I’m going to heaven, how about you?

Are you positive you’re going to heaven? I am. But are you positive you’re going to heaven?

You might ask me how do I know for sure that I’m going to heaven?

I’ll tell you. It’s simple.

It has nothing to do with my beliefs. It has nothing to do with my religion. It has nothing to do with church. It has nothing to do with my faith. It has nothing to do with the fact that I’ve been faithful to my wife for 28 years.

It has nothing to do with all the times and ways I’ve served the Lord. It has nothing to do with the money I’ve given to the church. It has nothing to do with all the times I’ve volunteered to serve for worthy causes. It has nothing to do with how much I know about the Bible. It has nothing to do with the times I’ve sacrificed my own life for the benefit of others. It has nothing to do with the love I’ve shared with my family or others.

I’ve been to funerals when I’ve heard visitors of the departed say, “Well, at least she’s in a better place now.” How can they know that? What better place?

I’ve heard acquaintances, even some church members, who professed to be Christians say things like “well of course I’m going to heaven.” or I’ve lived a good life.” or “That’s what the cross was about.” or “All Christians go to heaven.” or “I believe in God, of course I’m going to heaven.”

I sometimes wonder if folks who say things that that are even really saved.

Why am I positive I’m going to heaven?

Because God has me and he has promised me He will NEVER let me go.
