Who is God?

Who is God?

We don’t usually talk about God in casual

conversation. We know he’s there. We pray to him on occasion. We may call on him. We may talk about him in a bible study or Sunday School class.

Sometimes we may be prompted to call his name. When we are, don’t we usually pick a safe, common name for God like “King of Kings” or “Lord of Lords”?

But isn’t God more than that to us? Here are some other names we can use to call His name and glorify His presence in our lives.

Jehovahweh,   All Powerful One   Yahweh    Almighty One    Creator     Uncreated One     Divine    King of Kings     Lord of Lords   Savior   Father     Master    All Knowing   Holy Spirit   Omnipotent One    I AM    El Shaddai   Elohim     Alpha and Omega

God’s names represent what God does and describes his character. For instance  El roi God who sees;   El Elyon  God Most High; El Shaddai    God Almighty;   Elohim  The Creator;    Yahweh–I AM;    Abba–Father;

There are many more names you could use to call and identify God and invite him to help you with whatever you need.  Follow the link below to find more names of God.
