My two favorite Mothers in the world

We’ve come a long long way since April 6, 1993. You are the greatest blessing God has ever given me. I thank God for you every single day. You are the reason I learned to allow Jesus to live in my heart and show his love to others through me.

I thought all my life that all I had to do to get to heaven was to be a “good” Christian.

Then I met you!

You showed me the love of Jesus by the life I saw you live and how you showed the love of Jesus to others. You have loved me and served me in ways and times I could never even fathom.

I’ve watched your skill and passion you express to your children since they were kids. Through good times and tough times you’ve always been there to love them and guide them with the love of Jesus. It has been remarkable to watch, Marie..

I hope this Mother’s day brings you joy and peace.

I will always love you and be in awe of you, my favorite mother.

You and I have come a long, long way together since you told me, “that pitch was a strike”. That phrase will always occupy a fond place in my memory and our story forever. Lois I don’t have enough space or time to tell you all the times and ways you have blessed me. You have always been the one I can count on for a fresh perspective in any situation. You always have suggestions on how I can do things better.

You ask me seven or eight times a day, “Do you need anything?” or “Can I get something for you?”

You will never understand how comforting and gratifying those questions are to me. Each time you say them I feel over the moon blessed. REALLY! And cared for and loved.

Don’t get me started on your model for a single mother. I would have to search far and wide to find a mother that could even come within a country mile to your example as a loving, nurturing mother. You exhibit a rare balance between love and discipline. Between teaching and playing. Between correcting and letting go. Nurturing Reina and Alex to love God. Accountability. Good character and much more.

I gotta quit. I could get carried away.

Let me say this from deep in my heart. You are the best single mother I have ever known or will ever know. Thank you for loving me and serving me and taking such good care of me.

I love you more than words can say.

I hope you have a wonderful, blessed, Happy Mothers Day.

You and
