When we prepare for a family vacation, getting ready becomes a major project. Then once we drive off we spend part of the trip asking ourselves, “Did we forget anything?” That uneasiness haunts us most of the trip. Often it’s not until we arrive at our vacation destination and unpack that we discover we left something behind.

Joshua, You’re In Charge

“Moses, my servant is dead; now therefore arise, cross the Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel.” Joshua 1:2.
God doesn’t mince words or waste time. His command to Joshua to take over the leadership of His people from Moses was direct and clear. In the first few verses of Joshua, Chapter 1,¬†God instructs Joshua on what it will take to move forward. Continue reading
