The look in his eyes said, “Please take me home.” Most fibers in my being said, “Go inside, get the puppy and take it home.” I couldn’t hold the puppy, pet it, cuddle it, or smell puppy breath. I’m the same way with God sometimes. Are you? He is eager to share His grace and blessings with me. I’ve seen them. I’ve felt them. I’ve enjoyed His blessings and His grace and His love. I know they’re with God and He wants to share them with me.
But, at times I can’t get to them. I miss what God has. Just like the glass that kept me from that adorable puppy, my pride gets stuck between me and God. My pride prevents me from enjoying God’s best for me.
